Cornelia “Corry” Goedhart of Lethbridge, Alberta, beloved wife of the late Pieter Goedhart, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2021 at the age of 85 years.

Corry was born on April 24, 1936 in Culemborg, Holland. She was educated there, and then moved to Canada with her whole family in 1955. Arriving in Halifax by boat, her family then travelled to Lethbridge by train.  She held various positions with families in Southern Alberta, doing housekeeping and childcare. Corry and Piet were married in June of 1960 and moved south of Fort Macleod. In 1971, they moved west of Nobleford, where they lived together until Piet’s passing in December of 1995.  Corry stayed in the big yellow house until she moved to Elim Village in March of 2017, where she enjoyed never being too hot or too cold ever again.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Bill and Nellie van Bezooyen; sister Tine Grisnich; sister Maaike Oudshoorn; brother-in-law Gerrit Schipper; brother and sister-in-law Jan and Jannie van Bezooyen; brother and sister-in-law Gerrit and Teresa van Bezooyen; brother Henk van Bezooyen; and sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Hank de Kok; her children Rita Harper, Ken (Anita) Goedhart; Gary (Sylvia) Goedhart; grandchildren Jasmine, Robert (Melissa) Harper; Chelsea, Alex (Chandlyr) Goedhart; Joey, Taylor (Bryden Geremia), Bryn Goedhart; and great-grandson McCoy Harnett.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Pieter Goedhart; her parents Gerrit and Willempje van Bezooyen; her sister and brother-in-law Krijn and Chris De Leeuw; brother-in-law John Grisnich; brother-in-law Marinus Oudshoorn; sister Willi Schipper; sister and brother-in-law Nellie and John Haarman; brother Floor van Bezooyen; and sister-in-law Carla van Bezooyen.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, on Monday, July 12, 2021, at Bethel Reformed Church in Monarch, AB (314 Eastman Ave, Monarch, AB) with Pastor Geoff Otten officiating. Interment to follow at Nobleford Monarch cemetery
